"UUAM is a group of concerned Unitarian Universalists and UU friends who desire to grow and express their faith as compassion towards all beings. We do this by asking these fundamental religious questions: What does it mean to be human in mixed species communities? What is our response to this understanding? To answer these questions we draw on our UU principles and sources, traditions, and congregational life to deepen our awareness of the interdependence of life. We then support one another in not just learning how caring for all beings is a moral and religious issue, but also engaging in concrete actions that bring about change on the individual, family, congregational, community, and societal level." Episcopal Network for Animal Welfare
A grass roots organization composed of laity and clergy within the Episcopal Church who share the common belief that all God's creatures deserve basic compassion and humane treatment, and ought to be within the scope of the church's ministry and embrace. "The Mission of the Episcopal Network for Animal Welfare is to create an inclusive and mutually-supportive venue for animal advocates with a variety of interests and gifts; and to offer our presence, passion, enthusiasm and resources to help equip the churches to give meaningful voice to every creature under Heaven, especially where neglect, cruelty, degradation and commercial exploitation are concerned." "A Christian organization born of the Anglican Church but welcoming all denominations who share our compassion for animals. We believe by raising awareness of real life instances of animal suffering we can change behavior and influence decision makers.
