Feds File Complaint Against Virginia Safari Park

Strong accusations have been leveled against The Virginia Safari Park. In an 18 page complaint, the USDA claims that zoo and two others, owned by the same family, have demonstrated "a lack of concern for the welfare of the animals in their custody",

Investigators from the Humane Society of the United States say it's time for Feds to close these roadside zoos permanently. The consensus is that they are generally unsafe environments for the animals held captive there.

One investigator stated that what's likeliest to bring about change quickly is for people stop patronizing zoos of this type.
